I’ve been trying to work out some kind of pose/style to draw this shadowy Ecco. Tough when I want her to be all black but glow. I think I need to get out some ink and a brush for that.

I’ve been switching between drawing from reference then switching to drawing without. Keeps the gears going.

I had to actually buy one cause I don’t have space to make my own. It’s ok…cute. Sub-par paper. But when it feels like every pen is dying on me and my list of materials shrinks…doesn’t matter much.

I really wanted to try something super light, can you tell? I wanna play with this one more too…

This is the point where I decided to force myself to draw something every day. I’ve missed one day so far, but I was doing digital things. That counts right?

Ooooh why did I draw something detailed in pencil in tiny sub-par sketchbook?  And I seem to have a thing for the aged vignette. Not sure about it yet…

These first two are straight from sketchbook with few digital alterations. Lots of marker, ink, pencil, and whatever I had on hand.

This one I spent some time with in photoshop, trying to make it look vintage ad of the future as far as colors. Maybe I’ll pick it back up again someday.

And they all can fly. I need a new trendy accessory.

This is a cyborg/medic character I recently conjured up for our 6 years in the making rpg…that before had never seen any kind of a doctor. Well then…

Watercolor sketch colored in photoshop. I think I’ll be working this way until I can update my tablet. The watercolor gives it detail and texture, and I was only left to worry about painting over finer hair and refining lighting with wonky pen. I noticed much less angry pen shaking! (Which doesn’t help the pen work, just something to do to pass a few moments before it works again…)

Edit: Adding two more sketches, didn’t feel they caught him as well, but they do have better detail.
