Now for something completely different. I have plenty of stuff laying around that needs a facelift, and decided that these bags could use some dye and fabric.

This first one was white with a gold chain/white bead handle. I bleached the yellowing fabric then dyed it lime green to go with the yellowing plastic beads. The new handle is just braided yarn and leather, with sliding knots. For some reason I love knot tying and will find excuses to knot up anything.

This is my camera bag…which was drab black pleatherful. I hand sewed some fabric panels around it, and easy way to upgrade without remaking the whole bag! I also added a pocket on the back, since this bag is quite small and just fits my camera. The pocket holds and extra battery perfectly, and coincidentally business cards!

The old basic strap was replaced with a cheap velvety belt, plus more ribbon and knots.
