Outtake from my thesis piece. Whenever I saw this pic I always liked something about it, so today I spruced it up in photoshop to see what could happen. I think this could be a sweet painting! I think I even have the board for it =)

Oooh, once upon a time I wanted to be a makeup/sfx artist. The face paint in this photo cost a pretty penny and I decided I was too poor to further pursue this art, the end.

exploring more pen mark making messes. I think this would pop more not on white. I need a sketchbook that can stand up to water washes again!

(and I have a thing for drawing heads facing one direction, something with the curves being subconsciously easier to draw?)

I had to actually buy one cause I don’t have space to make my own. It’s ok…cute. Sub-par paper. But when it feels like every pen is dying on me and my list of materials shrinks…doesn’t matter much.

I really wanted to try something super light, can you tell? I wanna play with this one more too…

This is the point where I decided to force myself to draw something every day. I’ve missed one day so far, but I was doing digital things. That counts right?

Ooooh why did I draw something detailed in pencil in tiny sub-par sketchbook?  And I seem to have a thing for the aged vignette. Not sure about it yet…

A new illustration I’m starting, with not flat papercuts! I was in the sketchbook and saw a Megan Brain image on my stack of inspiration/reference. Trying my hand at it and it’s fun!

I was trying to organize some files and was skimming through years past. I liked the gesture in this, and decided to see if I could get an idea out of it. I still think it needs something subtle before its a complete idea.
