This was the launching point for my thesis.
These first two images were drawn over the summer, and as you can see I fleshed out a pretty tight thumbnail. But I wouldn’t pull it out again until winter, when looking for my first finished thesis piece.
I kept pretty true to the first sketches, even with the primary colors. Up to this point, it’s been pencil and digital. Before I started the final (okay after I had the sky painted!) there was a decision to crop in.
When all was said and done I had a textural experiment in my hands, and a continuation with my my dabbling in paper collage.
